State Required Assessments

The Support Services and Accountability department manages and oversees the administration of the statewide assessment program for Canyon ISD. The statewide assessment program includes the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), including TAKS (Accommodated), and TAKS-Modified (TAKS-M); the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), including STAAR-Modified (STAAR-M), STAAR-Altnernative (STAAR-ALT), and STAAR-Linguistic (STAAR-L) for ESL students; the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS).
