  •  Randall High School Key Club Received the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award

    Randall High School’s Key Club received the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award at the National Philanthropy Day luncheon held on November 16th. Nominated by the Ronald McDonald House, the Key Club students were honored to receive such a prestigious award. Last school year, the Key Club spent over 7,000 hours of community service to local organizations. The Key Club sponsors are Cassi Unger and McKelvey Steger.

    The Texas Association of Journalism Educators gives the Trailblazer Award to a high school or college educator who has set trends and shaped Texas Journalism. For the past nine years, Laura has served as the TAJE board representative for Region 1, representing journalism teachers from Education Service Center Regions 16 and 17. For the past six years, she has worked with West Texas A&M University to host a TAJE Region 1 Journalism Workshop that draws approximately 300 journalism students and teachers from across the Texas Panhandle and West Texas each fall.
